User Experience Design
I’ve been working at Cerner → Oracle since 2021. I started as a UI designer and moved into UX design pretty quickly. I collaborate with designers, Human Factor researchers, and our Product owners to create the best workflows for our users.
I start with reviewing the research and asking a TON of questions. I try to best understand our user’s problems and pain points as early in the process as possible so I can better design the overall experience. At Oracle, we started with creating a User Persona with Product and HF. From there, user flows and wireframing the overall workflow. Hifis then turned into Figma Prototypes, and we would take those prototypes through usability testing, and continue iterating on designs until we got it right.
I have been on a few different teams at Oracle. I started on a more ‘visionary’ design team, to help the Health team get buy-in from Stockholders to put more resources behind the Health Design team. From there, I worked on the Patient Administration side of the health industry. I’ve focused on Admin/front house, Scheduler, and Referral Coordinator designs and workflows.
I’ve been leading the referral team, working with Product, HF, and Developers to design and launch a Referral Coordinator’s many workflows. These include: reviewing a referral, editing or adding information to the referral, sending of the referral, acceptance/rejection of a referral, and how that referral goes through the scheduling process.
